Federalism -
POWER that Is SHARED BETWEEN A BIG GOVERNMENT AND A SMALLER STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Fact-the power is divided between the federal government and the state like Minnesota

Independent judiciary-
Means that the U.S. Has a system of judges and courts that are separated from other branches
Fact- the judicial power of the United States ,shall be vested In one Supreme Court and in such inferior courts as congress

Popular sovereignty-the people have the power to elect their leaders .the farmers of constitution wanted to make sure the government did what was best for the people
Fact -under this provision the House of Representatives is made up of members elected by the people .

Rule of law -the law applies to all people no matter if you are rich ,poor ,the president or a regular person ,and also it says the constitution are the most important laws
Fact-in other words no state may discriminate against the residents of another state .the law must be applied in the same way to all.

Separation of powers /checks and balances -the farmers of the constitution did not want one branch of government or one person to become to powerful .fact-so they divided power between three branches (judicial,legislative ,executive )

Individual rights -when the constitution was written ,some people did not want to pass it because it did not include rights for individual rights so then the farmers added the bill of rights or the first amendments to the constitution .fact- the first amendments protects individual rights the most .
