PRINT MATERIALS: the use of paper containing information such as magazines, books, journals, pamphlets and more..

Books are picked to help find information that deals with the same topic as your research. Magazines & journals help as well to find important articles or news and specialized journals show information as well. They also specify anything you need by looking through the index of the book or magazine. Pamphlets & newspapers are also great sources of information. You can find pamphlets at a library or school and look for pamphlets that come from credible source. Newspapers are found at any store or public library

Cyberspace Resources
The internet provides you with a lot of resources referred to as a cyberspace resource. When using source engines to that will uncover possible sources that you have to type in KEYWORDS related to the topic. If your using government agencies as sources remember a lot of times they have their own websites filled with great information.

For example: if you are researching EBOLA you can log on to cdc.com, FBI.gov,etc
Be careful when researching on the internet, some websites can be made by anyone with false information and make it look credible. Wikipedia us a big source of opinionated work.
Ask yourself when testing a website:
Is this website source credible? Is it, for example, a government or university site?
Can I find any other source to support this claim?
What are the credentials of the person developing this individual website?
To refer to your online source you would put on your note card: http://www.breatbooks.org on your note cards

RECORDING INFORMATION

  • Gather all information collected
  • Organize all the information to create your outline
