Since they worked pretty far from where I am, I scheduled for phone call appointments. I was pretty nervous but it was pretty easy.

Isabella Kwan

The interview started at 4:30 pm on 9/10/14 over the phone.

Isabella Kwan is an accountant for a company called Duplo USA.

Her biggest challenge is an unbalanced financial report.

It ruins accuracy of company profits and it will confuse her CEO's.

It is a rare occurrance that the financial report is unbalanced.

She says the problem is easy to fix, once she got used to the software.

Jonathan Kristianto

The interview started at around 7:20 pm on 9/10/14 over the phone.

Jonathan Kristianto owns his own dentistry in Salinas, CA.

Challenges: Good work environment and learning new technology.

A good work environment is important for the employees and the experience of the patients.

When there is conflict in the workplace, he tries to resolve them. But if it can't be resolved he says he has to let one of them go. He has only done that once.

Learning the new technology is time consuming, but it is very useful in the long run.

Learning the tech may lengthen the amount of time the patient is there, but it gets easier later on

Findings

Most of the problems from these people come from the advancement of technology, either medical or accounting software.

I also notice that communication and the connection between employees is essential to stable and efficient productivity.

I noticed that their problems became easier to fix through how much experience they had with that problem.

Solution

A solution for learning the new technology would probably be making a simpler and more efficient software so that the user can quickly learn it. It can cut down the time a user has to spend learning it and it will be easier for them to solve problems.

For the communication in the workplace, a service could be created to help the employees bond. Almost like a counselor for employees.
