WHAT HAPPENS TO THE BODY

  • It affects the heart
  • Progeria ages the individual quickly at their early age
  • It mostly affects the whole body

ALL AFFECTS ON THE BODY

  • Extreme loss of any hair.
  • Aged skin.
  • Failure to gain any weight.

CAUSES OF THIS DISEASE

  • A single gene mutation mostly cause it, a gene known as lamin.
  • It is also a triggered mutation
  • It is not inherited by parents, or family members. It's an extremely rare condition

HOW IS PROGERIA INHERITED

  • It's not inherited its a mutation but no progeria is not sex linked.
  • Chromosome LMNA gene
  • Progeria is a dominant gene

HOW IS THE DISORDER TREATED

There's no cure for progeria. Regular monitoring for cardiovascular disease may help
