WHAT DOES A ZOOLOGIST DO?
- A ZOOLOGIST STUDIES ANIMALS AND THEIR INTERACTIONS WITH THEIR ECOSYSTEMS AND OTHERS IN THEIR ECOSYSTEMS AS WELL AS ANIMALS PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS, THEIR BEHAVIORS, AND HUMAN IMPACTS ON THE ANIMALS
WHAT REQUIREMENTS ARE THERE?
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in zoology, biology, wildlife biology, or ecology for entry level jobs, but more advanced degrees are needed for higher level jobs
- Courses such as anatomy, wildlife management, cellular biology, and sometimes physics, chemistry, and botany are required
HOW CAN I PREPARE?
- Take as many biology and ecology classes as possible in high school
- Volunteer with animals or get a job working with animals (experience is good)
- Find internships or camps to get experience in the field

Future for Zoology
Zoology does have a future because as time goes on animals will still need to be cared for and rescued. People will always need to be educated on wildlife and how was cam care for the, and protect them, so there is most definitely a future for zoology careers.
