PRESENTATION OUTLINE

FARAJ: cOMMUNICATOR

Faraj is a communicator because he speaks to the twins over the phone. He tries to get to know them better. Even though they don't speak the same language they are still able to communicate a little bit. They talk about their age and what food they like and also sports.

MOISHE: CARING

Moishe shows respect to his friend by caring for his grave. He says he wished that every Jew killed by terrorists would come back. He is happy for his friend though because he knows his friend is happier in heaven.

DANIEL & YARKO: RISK TAKER

Daniel and Yarko are risk takers because they knew it would be dangerous to go into Palestinian land but they really wanted to meet Faraj and his friends. They weren't sure what the outcome would be but they were determined to meet Arab kids.

SHLOMO: PRINCIPLED

As a young kid Shlomo understands why the Arabs believe that the land is theirs. He never says it is theirs but he understand the Arabs. He has more of a sense of fairness then the other kids when it comes to who's land it is and this conflict.

SANABEL: INQUIRERS

Sanabel is an inquirer because she is very curious about what would happen if Jews and Arabs meet. She wants Jewish and Arab kids to be friends. She doesn't know if it will end well but she is really curious.

MAHMOUD: KNOWLEDGEABLE

Mahmoud is quite knowledgeable for his age. He understands his religion and the conflict going on. He quotes things from his holy text in the movie. He believes Jews should just be guests in Jerusalem.

FARAJ: OPEN MINDED

When we visited Faraj many years later we saw that he grew from the experience of this movie. He tried to keep up his interaction with the twins. Later he moved to the U.S. Where he learned that there people of different religions could live with each other. He really liked that.

REFLECTIVE: ALL OF THE KIDS

All of the kids were reflective. Every single one of them were asked at least once how they felt after being a part of this experience and they all answered. All of them grew from this experience. Maybe some more than others but each of them reflected back on their experience.

YARKO & DANIEL: THINKERS

Daniel and Yarko are thinkers because they think up the idea to meet up. They were the ones who thought about meeting Farj. They convince their parents to take them.

FARAJ: BALANCED

Faraj is balanced because he understands the Arab and Jewish's point of views. Although it takes him awhile he does. After his day with Yarka and Daniel he understood their point of view. As he grew older he remembered this day and grew from it.
