WHO IS MICAH?

• An outsider from the country side
• A controversial figure
• Known as the prophet of doom
• Born at Moresheth, town of the tribe of Judah
• He was active in Judah
• Prophesized about a town and about a savior coming to cleanse the earth of our sins

THE BECOMING OF A PROPHET

• Contemporary of the prophets Isaiah, Amos, and Hosea
• Mainly prophesized to his audience, which was Jerusalem
• He did this by making announcements of judgements against Jerusalem

Even though he was an outsider preaching about their beliefs, he was so successful that his announcements moved the king and the people to repentance
