The Bullying Circle

THE BULLYING CIRCLE FOLLOWS THIS SETUP

  • A: leader of the bullying, person who starts.
  • B: Bullies someone, but does not start the bullying
  • C: supports the bullying but do not take an active part.
  • D: likes the bullying but does not show any support
  • E: does not participate in anything, just stands there or walks away.
  • F: tries to help but does not actively defend the victim.
  • G: actively defends the victim.

The bullying circle shows us the stages of bullying, the closer you get to the right end the better a person you are, but until you are on the right side you are a bully, even if you aren't bullying someone, of you aren't trying to stop the bullying you are a bully. There are many ways you can stop bullying. So only F and G are not bullies.

How to act in a bullying situation

When you are getting bullied, you have to act a certain way to stop the bully. I'm going to explain three types of responses.
