  • Are nutrient found in every cell in your body.

FACTS

  • Proteins are made up of amino acids.
  • Amino acids are building blocks for your cells.
  • Need extra protein when injured or ill.
  • Additional protein when you are growing.
  • You need complete proteins to supply amino acids.

  • Incomplete protein sources contain some, but not all amino acids.
  • When complete and incomplete are combined they supply the acids.
  • Banana is an example of protein.
  • They prevent cramps.
  • Peanut Butter is a example of protein.

  • Their are also plants that are proteins.
  • Peas are an example.
  • Their is a protein disease called kwashiorkor.
  • Proteins should be eaten everyday.
  • Another example is eggs.
