DEFINITION
Are nutrient found in every cell in your body.

FACTS
Proteins are made up of amino acids.
Amino acids are building blocks for your cells.
Need extra protein when injured or ill.
Additional protein when you are growing.
You need complete proteins to supply amino acids.

FACTS CONT.
Incomplete protein sources contain some, but not all amino acids.
When complete and incomplete are combined they supply the acids.
Banana is an example of protein.
They prevent cramps.
Peanut Butter is a example of protein.

FACTS CONT.
Their are also plants that are proteins.
Peas are an example.
Their is a protein disease called kwashiorkor.
Proteins should be eaten everyday.
Another example is eggs.
