Proverbs1: 16-18
For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.

This proverb is talking about you, and how you could be hurting yourself by not doing good things such as smoking.

Proverbs 26:6-8
He cuts off his own feet and drinks violenceWho sends a message by the hand of a fool.Like the legs which are useless to the lame,So is a proverb in the mouth of fools.Like one who binds a stone in a sling,So is he who gives honor to a fool.

This is proverb is talking about how anything you give something to someone who doesn't want or doesn't understand it, it because completely useless to the them.

Proverb 1:5-7
A wise man will hear and increase in learning,
And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,To understand a proverb and a figure,The words of the wise and their riddles.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

This proverb is saying things that come across to you in life are hard to understand but when they are understood they can show you great knowledge.

Proverb1:8-10

And ornaments about your neck. My son, if sinners entice you,
Do not consent.

You need to always listen to your parents and what they tell you because they love you and will do anything for you.

It is better to live in a corner of the roof Than in a house shared with a contentious woman. Like cold water to a weary soul,
So is good news from a distant land.Like a trampled spring and a polluted well Is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.
