Pubic Lice

Causes

• Sexual activity with an infected person
• Rarely, sharing a toilet seat
• Spread through sharing bedding with infected

Symptoms

• Itching that get worse at night
• Itching may not start until 2-4 weeks
• Skin turning blueish-gray
• Sores from bites

Treatments

• Scrub pubic area with medicated shampoo for 5 minutes
• Comb hair after rinsing to remove eggs
• Wash and spray clothing in hot water
