Public information campaign is a public service, which as the term denotes, seeks to provide information and reach awareness level of the public in inculcating messages of value to intended audience.

Most of the time, this type of campaign devotes more focus and effort on audience welfare through public service announcements (PSAs) than in promoting the company and its products.
