How did Pueblos originate?
~Pueblos originated in the Southwest, particularly Colorado.
~Were originally built by Pueblo Indians, who had limited resources.
~In the Pueblo Revolt of 1680, the Pueblo Indians fled south with some groups of Spanish people, eventually moving into Mexico.
~The pueblo houses spread through relocation diffusion of the Pueblo Indians.
~As the Pueblo Indian population diminished, Mexican citizens began making pueblo houses for themselves.
~Usually built in large, sandy fields in Mexico.
~There was rarely any arable land around the pueblos.
~Usually built at the bottom of a mountain.
~Were always far apart from each other.
