Backround info
George Pullman was a sucsessfull business man who was born on March 3, 1831 and sold sleeping cars for railroads.
It was extremely sucsessfull to the point where he needed a steady source of laybor.

George Pullman created a town for his workers. The town had a lot of things that would be nice in a town such as parks , small lakes, schools, churches and paved sidewalks. Although the people said that he was kind of strict or un friendly with some of his laws, one being no alcohol.

Causes

The panic of 1893
Cut wages by 25% and laid off some workers
3 people got fired due to a small protest which lead the local union decided to go on strike

Effects
Pullman refused to bargain and instead shut down the plant. The strikers interfered with the mail sevice which was what Debs didn't want. President Grover Clevland sent 2500 troops to ensure that the strikers obeyed the court order

IN THE BEGINNING HE WAS A GOOD BUSSINESSMAN, BUT OVERALL WITH WHAT HE DID HE WAS BAD.
