View on human nature

• Believed every human was born sinful.
• Believed humans should devote their lives to God.

Sin

• Saw sin as a violation with their covenant with God.
• Did not see sin as something that would cause people to be damned.
• Tried to live lives that were free of sin.

Good & Evil

• Believed anything with flesh was considered evil
• Everything spiritual- wise was good.
