PUSH/PULL FACTORS

BY: JONATHAN SOLIS

PUSH FACTORS

  • These can include bad weather, economic hardship, and lack of freedom.
  • Things that might push me away from places would be:
  • High crime rates, High cost of living, and in general a rude population.
  • An example of a place I would want to leave would be New York City
  • TravelandLeisure.com's annual survey rates it the #1 rudest city.

PULL FACTORS

  • Pull factors include low crime rate, familiarity, and a close proximity to family
  • Factors that might persuade to go to a place would be nice weather and an accepting population.
  • One example of this would be Pensacola, Florida.
  • The people there are nice, the weather is awesome, and it's within a day's drive of Dallas.
  • Also, I'm familiar with the place because I lived there for 9 months.
