QUADRILATERAL

  • Four sided polygon
  • Area formula- varies
  • Interior angles add to 360
  • Straight
  • 2 demensional

PARALLELOGRAM

  • Quadrilateral where opposet sides are parallel
  • Area formula- A=B*H
  • Oppisite sides are congruent
  • Opppisite angles are congruent
  • Includes all properties of quadrilaterals

RECTANGLE

  • Quadrilateral where both sets of oppisite sides are congruent
  • Area formula- A=W*L
  • Diagonals bisect each other and are congruent
  • All ineterior angles are 90
  • Also contains all other properties of parallelograms

SQUARE

  • A rectangle where all sides are congruent
  • Area formula- A=s^2
  • Diagonals are perpendicular
  • All properties of a rectangle

RHOMBUS

  • Parallelogram with equal sides
  • Area formula- A=D1*D2/2 d=diagonal
  • Disgonals are perpendicular
  • Diagonals bisect oppisite angles
  • Properties of parallelograms

TRAPAZOID

  • Quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides
  • Area formula- A=(B1+B2) /2
  • Bases are parallel
  • Properties of quadrilateral

ISOSCELES TRAPEZOID

  • A trapezoid with one set of parallel bases and one set of congfuent sides
  • Area formula- A=(B1+B2)H /2
  • Base angles are congruent adjacent angles are supplementary
  • Properties of a trapezoid

KITE

  • A quadrilateral with two sets of congruent adjacent sides
  • Area formula- A=1/2 (D1*D2)
  • Diagonals are perpendicular bisectors
  • One set if congruent angles opposite each other
