Orgianlly from Arkansas
Forced to move to Oklahoma where they are currently living

Men- some were hunters while others went to fight
Women- usually did all the farming and building of family homes
Kids- did most of the chores around the tribe

Housing
Most Quapaw people lived in small square houses
The houses were made out of plaster and rivercane walls with thatched roofs
A whole family would live in one house

Food
Quapaw people were farmers amd hunters
Women worked to raise crops -corn -beans -squash
Men hunted deer and buffalo, they also fished in the small streams

The populattion for the Quapaw Tribe is only 1,927

Transportation
The Quapaw people orginally used dogs pulling travios (a type of drag sled)
Soon they started riding horses

Women wore long buckskin dresses
Men wore buckskin shirts with leather legging
Both male and female wore moccasins on their feet
On cold days they wore long buffalo-hide robes
