Born at Kensington Palace on May 24th, 1819
Became Queen at age 18, married Prince Albert in 1840
Despite hating pregnancy/childbirth, she had nine children
All of her descendents married royalty, gave her the nickname-
"Grandmother of Europe"

Britain's "Victorian Age" was named after her

Reign supported peace and reconciliation

During her reign, the empire doubled in size

ISSUES QUEEN VICTORIA FACED
She lost her husband and went into a deep depression
As a child, she wasn't allowed to be alone at any time
She felt as though having children made her less capable to rule

As a young queen she gossiped all the time
When her husband died, she neglected several duties due to depression
She wasn't a very loving mother and didn't put on a show for the public
