The ancient Egyptians worshiped their gods by having priest in a large temples worship them or people in small homes. They did it because they thought it protected them. Worshipping was a huge part of Egyptian life.

Why did the ancient Egyptians worship gods?

The ancient Egyptians worshipped their gods because they thought the gods would protect them from floods and other things. They thought if they worshipped them the would be safe and happy.

What was the God known for? Why did people worship him?

Ra was known for creation of everything. Ra was so popular, he was worshipped a lot. He was considered the king of gods. People worshipped him because he was the creator of everything.

The symbol of the sun disk on the falcon headed man represents Ra's sun disk. The sun disk weighs heavily on Egyptian art. The sun was a primary source of light and was very popular to the ancient Egyptians.
