WAU BULAN

  • Model of tailless kite
  • Bowed and diamond shaped
  • Wau bulan got its names from the crescent moon-like shape of its lower section
Precise design:
Consist of 2 flexible cross sticks, diverging at right angle to form lozenge-like shape.
Horizontal stick is slightly longer than vertical one.
A string is tightened around, design then enveloped in the kite material

  • A.k.a kolam/muggu
  • Folk art from india in which patterns are created on the floor in living room or court yard
  • using coloured rice, dry flour, coloured sand or flower petals.
  • Basic colour is white, chirodi
