PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Nuclear energy can beneficial. Using nuclear energy reduces the amount of fossil fuels which means less greenhouse gas emissions. It also only needs a little fuel which offers more energy .

Nuclear energy can also be harmful. We could have an accident and have a nuclear spill or the power plant can blow up. Is causes a lot of problems. Also there's not many places to put the nuclear waste.

BENIFITS

  • Help the air stay clean
  • Reduce the cost of air pollution control
  • Emission-free energy
  • Provides water quality conservation
  • Nuclear power plants have a long peroid of operation

HARMS

  • Alot of waste and no room to put it.
  • Radiation
  • Power plants can blow up
  • Very expensive

Fusion/fission.
Fusion is the fusing of two or more lighter atoms into s larger one. It occurs in stars and the sun. Fission is the splitting of s large atom into two or more smaller ones. It usually doesn't occur in nature.

Nuclear energy is very expensive. It's the most expensive form of energy. Natural energy is cost free and re-usable. Nuclear energy is very costly, it's very expensive to make power plants.

One of the worst meltdowns since 1986 was the Fukushima daichi. An earthquake created a tsunami and created the power plant to go in meltdown. There's slow signs of it slowing down.

Another really bad meltdown was in tokaimura, Japan in 1999. It happened because an accident happened with uranium when it couldn't stop the solution. Meltdowns are very dangerous and costly.
