Fun facts:
Back in the 1900's, radium was used to make wrist watch faces for soldiers. Women who worked in the factory that made these were told that this paint, containing radium was harmless, so after a while of using their tongues to sharpen the tip of the brush, most ended up with radium poisoning and some ended up dying. These women were called the radium girls.
