THERE ARE ABOUT 240 TRIBES LIVING IN BRAZIL TODAY

FOOD AND DRINK

  • People who live in the rainforest build their homes out of trees, vines, and leaves.
  • COFFEE - CORN - RICE - GINGER - CHOCOLATE - BANANAS - BEANS - MANGOS - ALLSPICE - CHEWING GUM - LEMONS - SWEET POTATOES - SUGAR - NUTMEG - VANILLA - TAPIOCA - AVOCADOS - COCONUT - CINNAMON - TEA - PINEAPPLES - ORANGES - CASHEW NUTS . . . . .

LANGUAGE

  • Any culture that is connected to their environment would develop a language that is part of the ethos of that culture. Words would have been coined because of how that culture deals with the surroundings and ways to care for the same surroundings would have developed within the native tongue. If rainforests are to survive, it is important that indigenous languages are kept alive.
