We chose to use a picture of the students in a school to represent the cytoplasm that fills the cells. The students fill a school the way that cytoplasm fills the cells.
We chose a picture of a school principal to represent the nucleus of the cell because the principal controls a school just like the nucleus controls the cell. The principal, just like the nucleus, holds all of the information of the things that fill it.
We chose the teachers in a school to represent the cytoskeleton because the teachers help and support us in our journey through education. They help shape our future and minds, like the cytoskeleton gives cells shape and anchors organelles.
INTERCONNECTED NETWORK THAT MAKES LIPIDS AND VESICLES
We chose student clubs to represent the smooth ER because they are little groups (networks) that form friendships between students, like how the smooth ER is an interconnected network of folded membranes.
We chose mobile food carts to represent the Rough ER because it gives nutrients to the students. It transports the food to these students. Just like how the rough ER transports proteins made on the ribosomes.
We chose the cafeteria staff to represent the ribosomes because they make the food like the ribosome makes protein and is associated with the carts which is the rough ER.
We chose the dean of admissions to represent the Golgi apparatus because he/she sorts who is allowed to attend the school just like the Golgi apparatus does to proteins in the cell.
We chose to use the "runners" in the school to represent the vesicle because they transport important information to different people or areas just like the vesicle transports materials within the cell.
We used the deans to represent mitochondria in a cell because the deans help enforce rules and help to keep the school in a controlled environment just like the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
We chose the locker rooms to represent the central vacuole because it is a space that is used for storage for the students just like the central vacuole is used for the storage of water, food, enzymes, and waste.
We chose the janitor of a school to represent a lysosome because they help break down the waste and keep the school clean just like the lysosome breaks down waste.
Since chloroplast makes glucose/food for the plant, it is like the cafeteria and how our food is made there. Providing us with food so we can have energy and nutrients.
