Biography

• Oct. 5, 1902 - Jan. 14, 1984
• Ray Albert Kroc was born to parents of Czech origin
• In 1917, 15-year-old Ray Kroc lied about his age to join the Red Cross as an ambulance driver
• He then worked as a piano player, a paper cup salesman and a multi-mixer salesman
• He remained in sales for 17 years

Biography

• As his role as a salesman he met the McDonald's brothers
• He was stunned by the effectiveness of the restaurant   
• Kroc pitched his vision of creating McDonald’s restaurants all over the U.S.
• In 1955 he founded the McDonald’s Corporation
• 5 years later bought the exclusive rights to the McDonald’s name
