Thesis: Reconstruction was the most important reform period because three amendments were made, radical republicans were formed, and the capitalist America prospered.

13TH AMENDMENT

  • Abolished slavery

14TH AMENDMENT

  • Equal protection from states

15TH AMENDMENT

  • Gave black men the right to vote

  • Strongly opposed slavery
  • Frequently dissagreed with Loncoln
  • Tried to impeach President Johnson
  • Wanted equal rights for blacks

EFFECTS ON CAPITALISM
