Red Pepper Jelly

  • You will need:
  • 6 jars with lids
  • large pot of boiling water to steralize jars
  • tongs
  • ingredients for jelly

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 5 cups sugar
  • 2 cups red peppers (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 cups white vinegar
  • 1 (6oz.) bottle of liquid pectin

Combine sugar, peppers, and vinegar. Stir & bring to full rolling boil.

Boil on medium heat for 15 minutes, skimming off foam

Next Steps:

  • Remove from heat
  • Stir in pectin
  • Stir for 2 minutes
  • Pour into sterilized jars
  • Keep in refrigerator or freezer when cooled down

How to Sterilize Glass Jars

  • Fill large pot with water
  • Bring water to rolling boil
  • Using tongs place glass jars in water for 15 minutes
  • Remove glass jars with tongs and place on clean towel to dry

Boil 15 minutes
