PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Red ribbon week is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the country.
We celebrate red ribbon week because Drug Enforcement Agent
Enrique "Kiki" Camarena lost his life in 1985 while on the job in Mexico.
Kiki's friends and family pledged to be drug free in honor of Kiki's bravery.
They wear red ribbons and red badges to remember Enrique Camarena.
Today red ribbon week is recognized and celebrated to keep Enrique Camarena's memories alive.
When you wear a red ribbon, you show that you say, "no" to drugs. We pay the homage for not only Special Agent Enrique Camarena but to other men and women who have sacrificed their life to the fight against drug abuse.
