PLASTIC BOTTLES

SOMETHING WE DON'T NEED

PLASTIC BOTTLE BACKGROUND

  • Average daily intake of liquids are 2 liters
  • A regualr bottle is 500 mL
  • Two bottles will be equivalent to 1 liter
  • We use 14,320,000 bottles DAILY

HOW MUCH DO WE USE?

WHERE DOES IT GO?

HOW MUCH?

  • We only have 6% of 429,600,000 recycled
  • That is 25,776,000 recycled.
  • Only have 8% are used to remake energy
  • That is 3,436,800 bottles used to remake energy
  • The rest 86% is sent to landfill (369,456,000 bottles)

WHERE DOES IT GO?

CALIFORNIA PLASTIC GOES TO INDIA!!!

PREVENTION

  • Use reusable bottles
  • Make your own drinks
  • Drink tab water from sink rather than drink bottled water
  • Use airtight bottles

We don't want the 86% go to landfill, we want the bottles to be INVISIBLE.

TO USE OR NOT TO USE,

THATS NOT THE QUESTION, BECAUSE WE DONT NEED IT.
