Reef Squid Respiratory System

  • Gills
  • Water is circulated around its gills letting the air in the water go into its gills
  • The oxygen is carried through its tissues and the carbon dioxide releses the water

Hawk Respiratory System

  • Cellular Respiration
  • Cellular Respiration is when cells use oxygen and digested food for energy.
  • Lungs

Differences

  • The hawk has lungs and the Reef Squid has gills
  • The Reef Squid gets its oxygen from air bubbles in the water and the hawk just breathes in oxygen.
  • They release carbon dioxide in different ways.
