May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. 2 Peter 1:2-4
Be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5:18b-21
Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be satisfied. blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy. blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God. Matthew 3–9 ESV
And Peter answered him, " lord if it is you command me to come to you on the water," he said, "come." so Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. but when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, "Lord save me!" Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him saying to him, "oh you of little faith why did you doubt?" Matthew 14:28–31
