Qur'an and bible comparison

  • The basic 6 beliefs of the QUr'an are:
  • belief in Allah as the one and only god
  • belief in angels
  • belief in the holy books
  • belief in the prophets
  • belief in the day of judgement
  • belief in the predestination

The qur'an

  • the qur'an is Islam's holy book
  • it contrasts very well with the bible
  • the form is like a poem, and has a lot of lessons as well as teachings for Islamic people

Bible

  • The bible is a collection of sacred texts or scriptures for Christians
  • The Bible is God’s self-revelation to humanity. The Bible also tells us who we are. It tells us of our sin and of God’s plan of salvation in Jesus Christ.
  • Bible is believed to be created by Moses

  • the bible is written more as a book that show the teachings of god
  • The bible also uses many literary devices that help people understand his teachings

QUr'an form

  • the quran is thought of as poetry, but non in any sense of the word is the quran poetry.
  • Phrase from the quran:"This is verily the (revealed) word of an honoured messenger; it is not the word of a poet: Little it is you believe?”
  • The quran sounds like a poem in this sentence, but is indeed not a poem

  • The bible is analepsis as well as prolepsis. The bible has lots of foreshadowing, dreams, visions, angels, nature, miracles, and an audible voice.
  • The bible comes in many styles such as poems, historical books, prophetic books, and doctrinal books.

LITERARY structure and style (quran)

  • The Suras and employ phonetic and thematic structures, and it is described as a rhymed prose.
  • the quranic text seems to have no beginning, middle, or end. its nonlinear structure being akin to a web or net. The textural arrangement is sometimes considered to exhibit lack of contrinuity. Absence of any chronolohical or thematic orfer and repitiiouness.
