PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Religion

sets of beliefs that try to answer questions about human existence
I chose this image because it shows many different symbols that represent many different religions. I believe that this image is a good image to represent that there are many images around the world, and there are many different beliefs.

Adherent

Supports a particular party, person, or set of ideas
I chose this image because it shows different people holding hands and supporting each other around the world which could represent people supporting religions, beliefs, cultures, or gods.

tenet/belief

trust, faith, and confidence in someone or something
I chose this image because we can have belief, trust, and faith in a religion or the fact that there is no religion at all, but we can all exist in a world together. We can all allow others to have their own beliefs and religions, yet still live and exist together in a city, state, country, and world.

Monotheism

belief in only one god
I chose this image because it shows the symbols of the monotheistic religions. These are the symbols that represent Judaism, Christianity, and Islam which all believe in only one god.

POLYTHEISM

belief in more than one god
I chose this image because these are statues of gods that people of the Hindu religion believe in. Hindu is a polytheistic religion along with many other religions. This image represents the belief in more than one god/goddess.

Atheism

disbelief in the existence of god or gods
I chose this image because it is the atheist symbol. This symbol represents atheists and disbelief in god or gods.

agnosticism

belief that a supreme being's existence can neither be proved or disproved
I chose this image because it is the best image that describes agnosticism. This shows that the person on the planet doesn't know what to think about there being a god or supreme being. They don't believe that there for sure isn't a supreme being, but they also don't believe that it can be proved that there is.

Theism

the belief in the existence of a god or gods
I chose this image because it says "god" which is what theists believe in. They believe in the fact that a god or many gods exist.

Judaism

monotheistic religion of the Jewish people
I chose to do Judaism because I am Jewish. I chose this picture because it is a Jewish star (also known as the star of David) laying on Jewish biblical script which is known as a Torah. The writing is in Hebrew which I know how to read, speak, and understand, and which is the native language of the Jewish people. The Jewish star is the symbol which usually represents the Judaic religion, occasionally along with the Menorah which is the seven branched candelabrum used in the Temple in Jerusalem. We light a version of the Menorah, called the Hanukkiah with nine branches, on Hanukkah.
