RELIGION

  • A set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

ADHERENT

  • A person who follows or upholds a leader, cause, etc.; supporter; follower.

TENET/BELIEF

  • Any opinion, principle, doctrine, dogma, etc., especially one held as true by members of a profession, group, or movement.

  • The doctrine or belief that there is only one God.

  • The doctrine of or belief in more than one god or in many gods.

ATHEISM

  • The doctrine or belief that there is no God.
