JUDIASM

FOUNDED 1300 B.C.

Founded by: Abraham

The Tanach, the Talmud (made of the Mishnah and Gemara) and the Midrash.

In Judaism there is only one God and is often beyond the ability of human comprehension. Also Jesus is not accepted as the savior as he is thought to not fulfill the messianic prophecies.

In Judaism the Holy Spirit is the spirit of God and is what gives someone the power to prophesy.
When you die it is believed that your soul is immortal and will rejoin your body upon the time of the resurrection.

The Star of David, or Magen David ("shield of David"), is named after King David of which legend said he had a shield with a star on it. Currently it is used to represent Judaism and has only become popular in the last 200 years.

Other "relics" also include the Menorah, a seven branched candelabrum. Tzitzit, Tefillin and Yarmulke are several garments Judaists are supposed to wear. The Mezuzah a case containing the Shema and is meant to remind one of God.

CHRISTIANITY

FOUNDED 33 A.D.

It was founded by Jesus.
It's only religious text is the Bible.

In Christianity there is only one God. Some Christians believe this God is a trinity, a combination of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

In Christianity Jesus is the son of God who gave up his life to clean all people of their sins. He is considered the only way into Heaven.

The Holy Spirit in Christianity is believed to be part of God. It teaches, leads people according to God's plan and give life.

In Christianity if a person has met the necessary requirements before they die their soul will ascend into heaven upon death, if not, eternal damnation in hell.

"Relics" in Christianity include the cross, representing Jesus sacrifice for our transgressions. Another is the fish, commonly believed as a way that early Christians used to identify each other when they were being persecuted.

ISLAM

FOUNDED: 622 C.E.

Islam was founded by Muhammad.
It's known religious texts are the Qur'an, the Hadith and the Sufi Texts.

In Islam there is only one god, Allah. It is believed that he is the all powerful creator of everything and that he is transcedent of his creation.

In Islam Jesus is seen as the last prophet sent to lead the children of Israel and the precursor to Muhammad and that Jesus foretold of Muhammad's coming.
