HINDUISM:

  • Hinduism means the religions of India, which is a variety of beliefs.
  • Hinduism began in India

Founders:
Hinduism has no specific founder, instead people believe Hinduism is timeless, having always existed.

Beliefs:
People believe that all life follows karma the law of cause and effect. They also believe in many gods, such as Ganesha, Shiva, Hanuman, Durga, Lakshmi and many more.

Worship:
People worship in temples, at home or outside.
Leaders:
Their leaders are Shankaracharya, Mahatma (great soul), Mahasaya (great leader), and Maharishi (great prophet)

Celebrations:
The Hindu celebrate Holi which is festival of colors and spring (Feb.- Mar.) They also celebrate Diwali which is the Festival of Lights (Sep.- Oct.)

  • Hinduism is the 3rd largest religion in the world.
  • Hinduism dates back 5 millennia.
