FILIPPO BRUNELLESCHI

  • One of the leading architects and engineers of the Italian Renaissance
  • Best known for his work on the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence
  • Born in 1377 in Florence
  • died in Florence on April 15, 1446, and is entombed in the Duomo

  • Lorenzo de Medici was born on January 1, 1449 in Florence, Italy
  • He was called Lorenzo the Magnificent
  • His brother was assassinated
  • In 1492, Lorenzo fell seriously ill
  • Lorenzo died during the night of April 8 and 9, 1492, at the age of 43

  • Italian scholar and poet
  • Wrote 366 poems centered on the theme of his love for Laura

  • The most influential individual artist of the 15th century in Italy
  • Quickly learned the Gothic style

  • Received a well-rounded education
  • One of the few women painters
  • Had one sibling, Lucia Anguissola
  • In 1625, she died at age 93 in Palermo

  • Born on March 6, 1475, Caprese Michelangelo, Italy
  • Italian sculptor, painter, architect, poet, and engineer
  • Born to a family of moderate means in the banking business
  • His works are the "David" and "Pieta" statues and the Sistine Chapel frescoes
  • Lived most of his life in Rome, where he died in 1564, at age 88

I choose these people because when I started reading a little more things about them they did stuff that I thought was very cool and impressive. Also I choose people who made sculptures because I think it is very amazing how people make sculptors.
