PROTESTANT REFORMATION

One of the sects that developed was the churches
People split because the rulers didn't want to be ruled by the pope
They felt the Catholic Church was becoming corrupt

CONTRAST THE RENAISSANCE WITH DARK AGES

When the dark ages happened that's when everything was
Starting to get put together for the renaissance.
When the Renaissance was here it was all new stuff nothing from the dark ages.

COUNTER REFORMATION

It developed church leaders developing common practices
Faith and good works were both necessary for salvation
Indulgences and other Church traditions were deemed vald expressions of faith
within the Catholic Church to address the issues brought up with the expansion and increase in Protestantism
