PRESENTATION OUTLINE

TITLE

YOUR NAME
Title page with your topic name (Raphael, da Vinci, etc.) and your name with class period here

All other slides besides this should have notes explaining what you will say.

They can be notes (bullet points) or sentences.

Your thesis goes here

Be sure to say who it is you are going to talk about and their influence in history - history could be in the person's own time (teaching students for example) all the way to the present.

BACKGROUND

  • Needed stuff about the person
  • Needed details about the art, writing, architecture, etc.
  • A few basic facts
A basic biography but should include details about his life and/or times that we need to know to understand your thesis. This could be where you explain a technique or work that you will be connecting. You might explain how things were done before this person came along or the work was created.

You can add slides to show the technique or work of art and explain its background or innovation.

REASON #1

THIS IS THE first connection/effect
Show your first connection/effect to history and give an explanation - you can use a few slides for this if you need to. You may want a picture slide or two...

QUOTE #1

 (CITATION)
A quote reinforcing your first reason/claim. You can put this anywhere in the presentation.
Be sure to include who said it (parenthetical citation)

REASON #2

THE 2ND WAY YOU SUPPORT YOUR CLAIM
Another example to support your connection to influencing history

QUOTE #2

(CITATION)
Another quote strengthening your claim - again this can be anywhere in the presentation.
Don't forget the citation.

CONCLUSION

  • Summary of Renaissance person/work/technique
  • Summary connection #1
  • Summary connection #2
