The traditional food in Haiti is Bean purée is often poured on top of white rice. The traditional Haitian sos pwa is less thick than the Cuban's black bean soup. Black beans is usually the beans of choice, followed by red beans and white beans. Chicken is frequently eaten, the same goes for goat meat and beef. Haitians eat 3 times a day if they can afford it. Peasants may eat cassave(bread made from manioc) and coffee for breakfast. Spicy food is most popular.

Haitis national celebrations is a carnival(the main and most biggest celebration in Haiti), Rara, Independence day, and Fet Gede.
