The reason fast food is so bad on your health is mainly because of it's terrible nutritional value. Fast food is high in fats, sugar, sodium, which could possibly lead to obesity, health problems, diabetes, heart problems, and arthritis. Fast food doesn't have the protein or carbohydrates that it needs to stay at a consistent blood sugar level. Studies say that soon after eating fast food your blood sugar drops. Eating fast also causes health issues. Eating fast slows down your feeling of fullness, and causes indigestion and heartburn. Speeding up the digestion process causes a weak ammune system. About 300,000 people die from obesity, which is only second to smoking.
Almost all fast food is processed, sounds gross right? A typical fast food hamburger has dozens or hundreds of strips of beef from cattle, so if there is a sick cow in one bunch it gives a greater chance of sickness. Prosessing food takes out majority of the flavor, causing fast food restraunts to add artificial flavor back in. Chicken Mcnuggets add in beef extract to add in the flavor that was taken away in processing. McDonalds uses some sort of animal flavoring, but they won't say which animal.
In conclusion, eating fast food has a major effect on you're body and can cause a dramatic shift in a bad direction.
