PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1.
RESOURCE DEPLETION

2.
WHO IS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM?
Leo Reynolds
3.
PEOPLE ARE THE PROBLEM BY...
overusing natural resources so they can't replace themselves fast enough
Overpopulation so more resources are being used
Pollution or contamination so people can't safely use them
That is just some of the things causing it.

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM AND
WHAT ANIMALS ARE MOST IMPACTED?
Leo Reynolds
5.
OUR RESOURCES CAN'T KEEP UP
Recourse are either considered renewable or non renewable
Renewable resources can replace themselves such as fresh water but if they are used to fast they might not be able to keep up.
People are using both kinds of resources beyond there rate of replacement causing them to disappear
Fish are the most impacted animal. They are highly overfished.

WHEN IS IT OCCURRING?
Leo Reynolds
7.
IT OCCURS...
All the time
People are constantly over using natural resources
Mining like oil mining
It happens when all of the natural resources in an area, renewable and not are used

8.
WHERE IS IT OCCURRING?
Scott McLeod
9.
EVERY WHERE
It happens anywhere there are natural resources that are being over used
Almost everywhere resources are overused
The top ten countries with then biggest environmental footprint are...
Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Denmark, US, Belgium, Australia, Canada, Netherlands, and Ireland
Qatar has the biggest

10.
WHY IS IT OCCURRING?
Leo Reynolds
11.
IT'S HAPPENING BECAUSE...
Humans over use the natural resources
Resources aren't reproducing fast enough to keep up with how fat they are used

12.
HOW DOES IT IMPACT ANIMALS?
Horia Varlan
13.
IT CAN...
Take away animals homes, food and water
Fresh water is highly overused so it may be disappearing from some animals habitats
If a lake or pond is taken away and the animals that use it can't find more water they could die
Animals like fish are over fished and animals that eat them may not be able to find as much as they need
Also the animals that are over hunted are impacted because there population could drop to low

WHAT ARE SOME SOLUTIONS?
HOW DO THEY WORK?
Martin Pettitt
15.
SOLUTIONS ARE...
Reduce the size of our environmental footprint by being more environmentally friendly
Find a new source of energy to power our lives with out over using resources.
Buy products without lots of extra packaging so it takes less material to make them
Buy longer lasting products so they don't need to make so many of them.
There is an agency, the EPA (environmental protection agency)that works to protect the environment. It was created by Richard Nixon.

WHAT ANIMALS ARE ENDANGERED BECAUSE OF THIS?
WHAT IS BEING DONE TO PROTECT IT?
Leo Reynolds
17.
ENDANGERED ANIMALS ARE...
The Atlantic cod is severely over exploited
Atlantic bluefin tuna are also over exploited
Nothing is really being done to protect them
