PRESENTATION OUTLINE

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

BY:MADYSEN ROBERTS

WHAT IS IT?

  • The Respiratory System is, organs that are responsible in your body for taking in oxygen, and expelling of carbon dioxide.

WHAT MAKES UP THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM?

  • The lungs, trachea bronchi and diaphragm, help people to breathe, which humans need to deliver oxygen and take out or get rid of carbon dioxide and the wasting of gas that is produced by the bodies cells.

WHATS THE RESPIATORY SYSTEMS FUNCTION.

  • The lungs, taking in oxygen and expelling/get rid of carbon dioxide as we breathe.
  • The average rate of breathing is dependent upon age.

LARYNX

  • the hollow muscular organ forming an air passage to the lungs and holding the vocal cords in humans and other mammals; the voice box.

TRACHEA

  • a large membranous tube reinforced by rings of cartilage, extending from the larynx to the bronchial tubes and conveying air to and from the lungs; the windpipe.

PHARYNX

  • the membrane-lined cavity behind the nose and mouth, connecting them to the esophagus.

BRONCHI

  • Bronchi are the main passageway into the lungs.

NOSE

  • The nose is a primary opening for the system made of bone, muscle and cartilage.

LUNGS

  • The lungs allow the oxygen in the air to be taken into the body, while also enabling the body to get rid of carbon dioxide in the air breathed out.

RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER SYSTEMS.

  • It is the circulatory system it is very useful. This system transports the food nutrients, and oxygen to the body cells. It also delivers of carbon dioxide and waste products. This helps the respiratory system by transporting nutrients to keep the lungs clean, and healthy.
  • It helps the respiratory system to function well and kick in.
