  • Most employers will spend one minute looking at it

  • Heading (personal info)
  • Objective (career objective)
  • Education (list relevant courses)
  • Experience (job-related)
  • Activities (school or community)

  • References
  • Cover Letter

SETUP

  • Major headers and minor headers
  • Chronological or functional format
  • Format is key!
  • Does not need complete sentences
  • Looks matter (advertisement)

TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS

  • Concise, factual, positive listing
  • PERFECT! Free from errors
  • Try to limit to 1-2 pages
  • If little experience, emphasize accomplishments
  • Relate objective to company, job description
