PRESENTATION OUTLINE
First at the tomb:
Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary mother of James. Peter later arrives.
The women were startled because the stone was rolled away from the tomb with the body missing. Two dazzling men appeared who were angels of the Lord. These angles told them that Jesus had been raised from the dead. Peter went after the women told the Apostles due to his disbelief.
Road to Emmaus:
Cleopas, 2nd unknown disciple
The two disciples were walking to a village called Emmaus when Jesus appears to them. Cleopas asks if he knew what was going on in Jerusalem. They explain Jesus' Passion and how the women found the tomb empty. Jesus said he had to leave, but the disciples urged him to stay. He blessed their dinner and they realized who he was after he disappeared.
Room in Jerusalem:
Apostles
Jesus appears to the apostles in a room in Jerusalem. The disciples think he is a ghost but Jesus proves who he is by showing his wounds and eating baked fish. Jesus then explains how his resurrection fulfills the Old Testament.
Bethany:
Ascension
Apostles were present.
At Bethany, Jesus blessed the Apostles. Immediately after, he rose into Heaven. The Apostles returned to Jerusalem to tell everyone about the Ascension.
