THE BATTLE OF LEXINGTON AND CONCORD

Date: April 19, 1775

Patriots called the British regulars to confuse the British.

Pual Revere didn't make it to concord but militia soon got word and we're awaiting the British at Lexington.

Only 70 militia were awaiting the 240 redcoats at Lexington.

73 British died and 174 were wounded.

THE BATTLE OF BUNKER HILL

Date: June 16, 1775

Despite their loss the Americans caused significant casualties.

Most fighting in this battle was done at breeds hill.

This battle allowed the American troops to know that they could defeat the British.

The British killed 226 Americans and the Americans killed 115 British

THE BATTLE OF COWPENS

Date: January 17, 1781

The British legion was 250 cavalry and 200 infantry.

124 Americans were wounded and so were 200 British.

Over 130 people were killed and over 300 were wounded in this battle.

Over 3,000 people fought and over 700 were captured in this battle.
