  • Notable icons were Queen Victoria of England
  • Model Camille Clifford
  • And model Liane de Vries
  • There were no movie actresses at the time

ENGLAND AND OTHER PARTS OF EUROPE LEAD FASHION AT THIS TIME

WORLD EVENTS THAT HAPPENED AND INSPIRED FASHION

  • WWI persuaded women to get out to take over men's jobs which started them to cut their hair
  • Women still dressed very elegant but their clothes started getting looser
  • Other events was the sinking of the Titanic(1912), first car invented(1908), and the Wright brothers flight(1903)

  • Billie Holliday with her curly bun with flowers
  • Louise Brooks and Clara Dow were pioneer flappers
  • Coco Chanel was a very important icon too
  • Men wore fancy suits like Louis Armstrong

Some events that happened was the Harlem Renaissance which started the Charleston look. Then Bonnie and Clyde's crime spree started a slight edgy look
