  • It is an unknown date due to poor documentation.
  • He died on March 5, 1770 as the first shot in the Boston Massacre.

WHERE DID HE LIVE?

  • He lived in Africa at birth.
  • He was soon shipped to America under slavery.

OCCUPATION

  • He was a slave.
  • He worked as a merchant seaman and dockworker.
  • He had no later occupation due to death.

PERSONAL QUALITIES

  • He was one of the few slaves that would actually go against his owner.
  • He actually tried to run away a time or two.
  • He was the first shot in the Boston Massacre while leading a rebellion.
  • He had many brave qualities about him throughout his life.

LIFE LESSONS

  • You could learn to not back down.
  • Attucks didnt back down from his owner, in turn, living more years in freedom.
  • Be brave, and stand strong.

  • Attucks is believed to be propped up on a stick waiting for the British to come.
  • Attucks was a leader of 50 men in a protest towards the British.
  • After shot, attucks and the four others' bodies were left in the road for 3 days.
  • After those 3 days, a public funeral was held with 10,000 people attending.
