THE STAMP ACT 1765

  • Colonists had to buy a stamp with each piece of paper being purchased.
  • This money helped pay for the French Indian war.

TOWNSHEND ACT

  • This law was passed by the British parliament.
  • This act was a series of acts. This all lead to the boycott of British goods.

BOSTON TEA PARTY

  • The governor had ordered for three ships to return unloaded.
  • The tea was dumped by a group of British men dressed as native Americans in Boston harbor.

THE INTOLERABLE ACT

  • This law was passed after the Boston tea party.
  • It was meant to punish the Massachusetts colonists.

THE QUARTERING ACT

  • Colonial people were forced to provide housing for the troops.

THE BOSTON MASSACRE

  • It occurred on March 5,1770
  • This happened between a mob and a squad of British soldiers.
  • The British fired and killed several colonists.

LEXINGTON

  • The battle at Lexington was one of the first battle engament of the American Revolution.
  • This battle was a conflict between Great Britain and t its thirteen colonies.
  • The battle at Lexington green started the American Revolution and what is now called "shot heard round the world".
  • Fought on April 19,1775.

CONCORD

  • The battle at concord was one of the first battle engagement of the American Revolution.
  • Fought on April 19,1775.
  • The battle at concord was a relieve for the colonists because since they beat the British troops they realized that they could actually win more battles.
